Ali was a great person, not only for being the first to win the world heavyweight championship three times, but also for his political stance and social message of black pride and black resistance to racial inequality and discrimination. As such, I invested over 15 hours into this piece and was sure to add the necessary detail to make this tonal drawing equally bold and courageous as the underwater photo and Ali himself.
"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." This is one of my favourite Muhammad Ali quotes and is a message that really pushed me to establish Made By Nicole... for this reason, this piece is really dear to me.
