Pathways is a bold and engaging series created by using pouring medium and a spectrum of different colour acrylic paints, ranging from brown and white to purple and green.

These pieces have been created by using the swipe technique, dragging the paint vertically from the centre outwards. This technique is very unpredictable and as such, I had limited control over the outcome of each piece. The only variables I could control were the colours I decided to use, the order in which I poured the paints and the direction I swiped it in. Once I began, I had no control of the effect created and yet, managed to produce stunning pieces of art.  

Hence, Pathways is a series that is reflective of the different paths we all embark on. No matter how much we try to plan for tomorrow, the month or the year ahead, there is only so much we can do to control the future. You will never know the blessings or challenges you may face but it is up to you to see the beauty in this undeniable truth about life.
